In September 2010, Eden Area Regional Occupational Program formed a non-profit foundation to benefit and support EAROP students. Specifically, the foundation was organized to assist in preparing students for success in a changing global economy by providing them with high quality career training and support services which meet their educational and occupational goals.
History and Mission
The Eden Area ROP Foundation is dedicated to supporting students served by Eden Area Regional Occupational Program. The Foundation’s mission is “To develop community resources, relationships and partnerships to assist students in a lifelong learning process to become self-sufficient in an ever-changing world.”
Goals
- To provide resources to students for their success
- To provide loans and scholarships to ROP students enabling them to further their education
- To provide state-of-the-art equipment
- To solicit financial grants from public and private sources for educational programs and activities
- To strengthen partnerships with the community in support of ROP programs
- To identify and develop targeted areas of business and industry where training is needed
- To participate in economic development activities in the Eden Area ROP
Scholarships
Each year the ROP awards scholarships to current or former Eden Area ROP students to assist them in continuing their education after graduation from high school. Scholarship applications are made available to students once a year.
Donations
The Eden Area ROP Foundation is committed to providing state-of-the-art equipment for Eden Area ROP students and classes. Businesses and corporations across the country are becoming more involved in the process of improving the quality of education in our schools. The Eden Area ROP Foundation needs your help to improve the quality of career technical education at Eden Area ROP.
